Ana Cecilia Zetino, 40 of Friona passed away January 23, 2020 in Amarillo.
Viewing was from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2020 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home with Celebration of Life Services set for 12 Noon Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rocio Rodriguez of Dumas, officiating. Burial Followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Ana was born April 15, 1979 in Cuidad, Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She later married Jose Alonzo Zetino September 12, 2016.
Ana loved to paint, watch her novelas, and box with her brothers. She loved children and family and always enjoyed her mother’s cooking, especially her chilaquiles.
Those to mourn her loss include her husband Jose of Friona, parents- Alvaro and Blanca Estela Granado of El Paso, 4 brothers Jaime Granado and wife Lizette, Alvaro David Granado, Jesus Granado and wife Bridget, all of El Paso, and Aron Nieto of Albuquerque, N.M., 2 sisters-Abigail Granado of El Paso and Poloma Nieto of Albuquerque, N.M., and 1 brother-in-law-Juan Gomez and wife Dominga of Friona.

Reba Buske
Funeral services for Reba Buske, 89, of Hereford and formerly of Friona was held Saturday January 25, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Friona, with the Reverend, Brett Hoyle, pastor, officiating. Burial followed at Friona Cemetery under the personal supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. The family received guests from 1:30 to 2:30, Saturday at First Baptist Church of Friona. Mrs. Buske passed away on Thursday January 23, 2020.
Reba Bernice Turner was born March 6, 1930, in Lubbock to Thomas Neff and Mildred Bell (Robison) Turner. She attended school and graduated High School in Abernathy in 1947. Reba met and fell in love with William Doris Buske at the soda fountain at the Drug Store, where she worked. She later went to work at Abernathy State Bank. She was a domestic goddess and farmers wife where she drove trucks and did anything that needed to be done on the farm, to assist her husband. Mrs. Buske was very involved in her kids School and Church activities. She was Instrumental in starting Young Homemakers and she was a charter member of Cowbells. Reba was a Girl Scout Leader. Later in life she obtained her real estate license and sold Real Estate with B.K. Buske and her daughter Denise Teel. She loved to cook and was particularly talented at making desserts. She loved chocolate and believed that chocolate was a major food group.
Reba was proceeded in death by her husband William Doris Buske on July 11, 2011, and her parents.
The legacy she leaves behind is one son Dave Buske and spouse Bobi of Burleson, Texas, two daughters Lydia Delventhal of Cornville, Arizona, and Denise Buske Teel and spouse Jerry of Hereford, two sisters Silverene Hughes of Canyon, and Pat Evans of Abernathy, four grandchildren Dr. Trisha Ann White and spouse Mike, and Shelia Dee Wagner, Jared Buske, and Lauren Buske Myers and spouse Shauna, and four great grandchildren Rachel White, Brandon White, Galtin Wagner, and Libby Wagner.
The family suggests that memorials in Mrs. Buske’s name be made to Hereford Nursing and Rehab, 231 Kingwood, Hereford, Texas 79045
Marie Ellen Perkins
Marie Ellen Perkins, 93, of Friona passed away January 21, 2020 in Friona.
Viewing was held Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with family visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services were set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the 10th St. Church of Christ in Friona with Gaines Butman and Morgan Davidson, officiating. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Marie was born on October 25, 1926 to David Higgin and Pearl Ruby (Hickey) Wright in Tribbey, Oklahoma. Marie was the oldest of nine children with four brothers and four sisters younger than she.
Marie began her school years in Wannette and later moved back to Tribbey.
Always a good student, she graduated as valedictorian of her 8th-grade class. She attended Radio School at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma as a high school student.
On August 24th, 1950, she married Cassey Wade Perkins of Trousdale, Oklahoma and moved to Texas that very same day to begin their married life. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before Cass’ death in 2010.
Along with their children, David Roger, Darla Marie, and Leslie Wade, they made Friona their home where all their children and several of the grandchildren graduated from Friona High School.
Marie became a Christian at a very young age in Tribbey and always loved the Lord. She was a member of the 10th St. Church of Christ.
Marie served as a Girl Scout Leader, a Den Mother, and took a CNA course at Prairie Acres in her 70’s to help fulfill a lifelong dream of being a nurse. An avid reader, she always had a home library for herself and her children. She served on the Friona Public Library Board of Trustees and as Lay Representative to the Texas Panhandle Library System. She was a lifetime member of the Friends of the Friona Public Library. She loved quilting, cooking, painting, and writing letters to her family, and loved being a homemaker.
Marie joined many of her dear loved ones who have gone on before: her parents, her husband, her sons David and Leslie, her grandson Cody, and her great-great-granddaughter Rebecca, and 4 brothers. She is blessed to be survived by her daughter Darla Marie and husband Rex of Friona, her daughter-in-law Becky Perkins of Clovis, New Mexico. 8 grandchildren:
Carol Dirr, Candace Marie Wanner and husband Joey, Cynthia Meyers and husband Roger all of Louisiana. Julie Davidson and husband Stuart of Seminole, Texas, Cassey Perkins and Daniel Perkins of Clovis, New Mexico and Adam and Tiffanie of American Home, California. 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Her sisters Verma Sisson of Lincoln, California, Veda Anderson of Altus, Oklahoma, Barbara Lacy of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Marilyn Wilson of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
