Cheeseburger Festival Sizzles

The heat was on. The 13th Annual Cheeseburger Festival was smokin’ as the temperature reached triple digits and cheeseburger maniacs broke the festival attendance record with over 2,700 filling the city park. They came, they saw, they ate. One thousand pounds of beef, 500 pounds of cheese, and 2,500 hamburger buns were devoured. Also, 500 pounds of “World Famous” french fries were served by the Noon Lions Club, and kettle corn, funnel cakes, and hand-made sodas were also in hot demand. Calories, what calories. (more...)

Friona Summer Celebration

The City of Friona and Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to attend this year’s Summer Celebration which will be held in the Friona City Park on July 27th. This event, which is being sponsored by NewsChannel 10, will showcase Friona to the entire panhandle during their 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm segments. A schedule of events is listed below.
