Freshmen Chieftains defeat Herd 29-0
The FHS Freshman Chieftains met the Hereford Freshman B team last Thursday, August 31 on Chieftain Field and came away with the first win of the season, 29-0.
Malachi Torres and Angel Carranza combined for 115 yards rushing. Luis Garcia accounted for almost 5 yards passing along with three touchdowns. Rafael Carranza returned an interception from the 30-yard line for a touchdown.
The Freshmen will meet the Bovina JV Mustangs on Thursday, September 7 in Bovina at 5 p.m.
