Donkey basketball coming to Friona
The Friona FFA will be hosting a wild and crazy Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show on Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at the Friona High School gym. It’s basketball played on real, live donkeys and it will be wilder than a rodeo and funnier than a circus. Advance tickets are $6.00 and available at the FHS Ag Shop. At the door tickets will be $8.00, preschoolers are free of charge.
The first game will feature Los Burros De Fuego against The Rednecks. Game two will be between the Mighty Midgets and The Unknowns. A Championship playoff game between the winning teams will determine this year’s champion.
The Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show is the world’s craziest sport. Everyone is encouraged to see “Buckmaster” the world famous comedy donkey. He is 500 pounds of pure dynamite. He is billed as rough and tough and hard to bluff. He hasn’t been ridden yet.
The community is encouraged to come out and see the craziest show on earth and support the Friona FFA.
