Carly Drake is crowned 2019 Miss Friona

The 63rd Annual Maize Days “Fiesta Friona” Celebration began Saturday night as twelve young ladies took to the stage at the Friona High School auditorium to compete for the title of Miss Friona. Poise, elegance, talent, and communication skills were all part of the mix. Earlier in the day, the contestants had a luncheon and interviews with the judges. The main extravaganza, however, was in the auditorium where friends and family cheered on their favorite contestants as Emcees Ed and Tyleen Caffrey conducted the festivities and pageant judges Lesley Gama, Dr. Patricia Thatcher, and Whitni Buckley made their choices. The envelope please.
