Monreal shines in All-Star Game
Marco Monreal represented Friona well in the 15th Annual ASCO All-Star Classic football game last Saturday night at Lowery Field in Lubbock, Texas. He helped guide the “Red” team to a 45-34 victory over the “Blue” team. The annual charity game spotlights outstanding high school graduates from schools all across the region.

The Sand Storm Volleyball Tournament supporting the FHS girls volleyball team will be this Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Reeve Lake Sand Volleyball Court. A $6 meal consisting of hamburger, chips, water, and cookies will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th at Reeve Lake. Go Support the Squaws!!

Friona Blood Drive is June 13th
A Friona Community Blood Drive will be conducted by Coffee Memorial Blood Center on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 12 noon until 7 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 1500 N. Cleveland. Donate and receive a half pint of milk and an individual ice cream cup!. Also receive a t-shirt, squeeze cow, and 1 WOW Pass to Wonderland amusement Park. See ad on page 9.

City of Friona Emergency Warning System
An outdoor warning system is in place in Friona, Texas. The system uses siren sounds to alert the town to take shelter in the event of an emergency or inclement weather. The city plans to test the system once a month.
