Parmer County RTSP holds final meeting of the school year
On March 5, 2019, Parmer County Retired Teachers and School Personnel met with TRTA District President Judy Hart for their last meeting of the school year. Mrs. Hart shared information regarding internet theft, fraud, and scams. Her interesting program included everything from ways to set passwords, correct medical records, and the need for frequent computer updating to a list of telephone numbers or websites to use when reporting possible problems.
Tracy Ellis and Sharon White led the group in a discussion of legislative issues related to education and updates on the upcoming school bond election. Individual members donated items for the Friends of the Library literary basket; Amelia Wright reported on books donated by Parmer County RTSP to all county first graders; and a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior was approved. Melissa Randolph served refreshments. The next meeting will be an ice cream supper this summer welcoming new members. All county educators and school employees, friends and family are invited to join Parmer County RTSP as active or associate members.
