Sheriff welcomes new Deputy
Deputy Sheriff Yurban Salinas and Sheriff Randy Geries

The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the hiring of a new Deputy Sheriff. Yurban Salinas was sworn in on February 11, 2018 as the newest addition to the Sheriff’s Office. Yurban, a 2012 graduate of Friona High School, is already licensed and certified as a Texas jailer and peace officer. “I am pleased to have Yurban return to Friona and I enjoy the chance to invest in young people from our area,” said Sheriff Randy Geries.
Yurban will be assigned with all duties in serving with the Sheriff’s Office which include county patrol, civil process, and court security to name a few. “Yurban’s position with the Sheriff’s Office is the first increase in manpower for the Sheriff’s Office in over fifty years and will allow us to be more proactive with our efforts to serve the citizens of Parmer County,” Sheriff Geries added.
