City Council approves resolution to support the U.S. Census
The Friona City Council met in regular session on Monday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 619 Main in Friona, Texas. The meeting began with a roll call, an invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance.
There were no public comments. Minutes of the November 11, 2019 were reviewed and approved.
The Council heard a report from the Friona Police Department concerning budget, expenses, personnel, and upcoming events.
Next, the Council approved the Accounts Payable for November 2019 and the Financial Statement for November 2019.
A resolution to support of the U.S. Census Bureau 2020 was approved. More details will be provided at a later date.
A briefing and discussion was held regarding the lease agreement of the street sweeper with First Bank of Sterling, Kansas.
A report from the Friona EMS Department was given concerning budget, expenses, personnel, and upcoming events.
The Council then went into Executive Session to discuss the hiring of a future city manager and to discuss matters concerning property at 604 East 11th.
