Friona United Methodist Church is hosting its annual All-Saints Carnival from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27th. All children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and come participate in all the games, fun, and lots of candy! A cowboy stew supper will follow at 6:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted to help with the youth ski trip during spring break. If you have any questions, please call 250-3045. The Trunk or Treat Halloween event sponsored by the Parmer County Sheriff’s Office, Friona Police Department, & Leals Mexican Food Restuarants of Clovis will be held on Thursday October 31, 2019 in the Friona Community Center from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. We will have a costume contest and a best decorated table contest as well. St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Bovina, Texas will host their annual Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Ann’s Parish Hall on 3rd Street in Bovina. They will be serving turkey & dressing, creamed potatoes & gravy, green beans, homemade bread, cranberry sauce, relish plate, desserts, and tea & coffee. Donations will be $12 for adults and $6 for children under 6 years of age. Take-out plates will be available at no additional charge. A quilt made by St. Ann’s Society will be raffled off at the dinner.
