Friona Banking Center will be serving Sausage wraps from 11:00 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17th in their parking lot. Proceeds will benefit the Parmer County Cancer Coalition. This year’s Pink Out Game for Breast Cancer Awareness, sponsored by the PCCC, will be on Friday, October 18th when the Chieftains host the Spearman Lynx.

The 4th Annual Family Harvest will be held on Saturday, October 19th at the Friona Community Center. The event begins at 12 noon and everyone is invited to attend. There will be free food and drinks along with music, featured speakers, and entertainment.

The Friona Band Boosters will be hosting a Brisket Dinner fundraiser on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Junior High Cafeteria. Tickets are $13 per plate and can be purchased from any Friona Band students. Proceeds will benefit the Friona Chieftain Marching Band. Friona Friends of the Library Book Shoppe is open on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The book shop is located at 119 West 6th Street, and books sell for one dollar per bag. No donations can be accepted until later in October.
