Local Stock Show January 14
The Friona Local Stock Show will be conducted on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Friona Community center. All Friona FFA, Friona 4-H, and Bovina 4-H members are invited to participate. The barn will open at 9:30 a.m. and animals will need to be in the barn, registered, and weighed by 12 noon. Registration fees are $15.00 per animal and are due at the time of the show. The show will begin at 4:00 p.m. with goats followed by lambs and then barrows. Will Pettit will judge the goats & lambs and Heath Link will judge the barrows. The Friona FFA will operate a concession stand. Come out and support your local 4-H and FFA.
Retired Teachers and School Personnel Meeting January 8th
Parmer County RTSP will meet at 12:00 noon on January 8th at the Frio Draw Driving School building in Friona. Following a meal of stew and cornbread, members and guests will be treated to a program, For the Kids’ Sake, presented by Marlene Hendershot and Cindy Rogers. Members are encouraged to bring their volunteer hours for 2018 to the meeting.
