Summer Drama is coming up quickly! Make plans to attend the 49th year of Summer Drama Workshop beginning July 9 and running until July 21. It costs $50 for the entire 2 weeks. Elementary students rehearse from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday. Junior High students rehearse from 1:30 – 4:30 pm. High School students rehearse from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. All rehearsals take place in the Friona High School Auditorium. Don’t miss these two weeks of magic. It will change your life for the better!

Small world alert! Shanna Daniels sent us a very interesting email regarding two unique names that were listed on our Birthday column a few weeks ago, Shatner Kade Reeve and Sheldon Kyle Reeve. Shanna’s mother worked with a Joe Kyle Reeve at Pampa ISD and Shanna’s freshman English teacher at Pampa High School was named Sarita Reeve. Shanna recalls Mrs. Reeve being pregnant with her son Sheldon in 1995, the year she was in her English class. Shanna wanted to know what Sheldon’s and Shatner’s connection to Friona was. Shanna was surprised to learn that Joe Kyle was a 1982 graduate of Friona High School and Sarita (Ellis) Reeve was a 1985 graduate of Friona High School and the class salutatorian. It is a small world!
