Graciela Grado

Graciela V. Grado, 82, of Friona passed away April 24, 2018 in Friona. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Father Nestor Lava of Hereford as Celebrant. Services and Cremation Arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Graciela was born March 1, 1936 in Mexico to Ignacio and Carolina Aceves Salas Vargas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers-Sergio, Carlos and Armando Vargas.

Those to carry on her legacy include: her husband Jose Grado of Friona, 4 daughters Martha Moreno of Friona, Laura Apodaca, Guadalupe Gallegos and Graciela Grado, all of El Paso, 2 sons-Jose D. Grado of Friona and Jorge Vargas of Reno, Nevada, 20 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Marian Wilson

Church service for Marian Wilson, age 84, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Brother Jeff Coffman of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Our beloved mother went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born January 27, 1934 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Oral Leo and Mattie Jean Anthony. She married Edward James Royal on July 20, 1950 in Monahans, Texas. She later married Winston Wade Wilson on October 15, 1965 in Clovis, New Mexico.

Marian and Winston were the owners of Highland Motel. She also worked at Anthony’s clothing store in Muleshoe for 17 years. After she retired, Marian volunteered her time in the patient assistance program at Muleshoe Medical Center. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe. Marian is preceded in death by her husband, Winston and her parents.

Marian is survived by her three sons, Rick Royal and his wife, Myrna of Amarillo, Texas, Mike Royal and his wife, Debbie of Lubbock, Texas and Sammy Wilson of Lubbock, Texas; her two daughters, Colleen Saylor and her husband, Scott of Muleshoe, Texas and Maurice (Missy Royal) Spratlen and her husband, Lonny of Muleshoe, Texas; eight wonderful grandchildren; and she was blessed with three great-grandchildren.

Joe Mueller

Joe Mueller, 70, of Amarillo died April 30, 2018. A visitation will be held from 6-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 555 E. Hastings Ave. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Friona Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Joe was born April 17, 1948 in Stamford, Texas to Alvin and Billie Jo Mueller. He married Marlene Irvin in 1967. They had 2 children in Haskell, TX and then moved to Friona, TX in 1972 where they lived for 38 years. They moved to Amarillo to retire in 2010. They were members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Joe loved spending time with family, watching his granddaughter’s sporting events and anything they were involved in, playing golf, gardening, traveling in the RV and jeeping. He could build anything with his hands. While living in Friona, TX, he was a member of the Friona Riding Club. Joe was a manager at Perry Brothers in Knox City, cowboy ranch hand in Seymour, and then worked at Cargill in maintenance in Friona for 36 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Mueller; son, Monty Mueller; sister, Jane Reading; sisters-in-law, Darlene Swinney and Mayme Gee; brother-in-law, Rick Irvin; and a nephew, Joey Swinney.

Joe is survived by his dear wife, Marlene Mueller; mother, Billie Jo Mueller; daughter, Staci Duran and husband Andre; brother, Terry Mueller; and 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Kyndali Duran.
