October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
• The Friona Pink Out game will be this Friday versus Childress. The Friona Squaw and Maidens volleyball teams are also participating this month by wearing pink jerseys at various games. FCCLA will be selling pink ribbon cookies to benefit the Parmer Co cancer coalition at the pink out football game.
• FNB-Friona Banking Center will host a Sausage Wrap to benefit the Cancer Coalition on Thursday, October 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Friona Banking Center parking lot. They will be serving sausage wrapped in a tortilla, and bottled water.
• The annual Survivor Dinner will be Thursday, November 8th at the First Baptist Church, beginning at 6 p.m. This year, we will have entertainment provided by local musicians. Invitations will be mailed to local cancer survivors in the coming weeks.
