Richard Samarron has been busy lately. He cleaned up the Library Garden and did a great job. The Friends of the Library invite everyone to notice the nice job Richard did with the garden behind the library. Apparently, it was a mess until he and his helper took away all the dead foliage that winter left behind. Thank you Richard!

That was a pretty awful wind that blew through Friona last Thursday. It stirred up everything from dirt to tumbleweeds. The winds were so bad that a cattle truck leased to Bunker Trucking was blown over on its side late Thursday evening. The truck was not loaded down with cattle. Thankfully there were no injuries to the driver or any cattle. Thanks to the Parmer County Sheriff’s Office for sharing photos and information.
