The high school summer drama cast has been working hard on their play, "Scapino" a long way off from Moliere. They will give their public performance Friday July 17 following the junior high play which begins at 6:00 p.m.

The elementary summer drama workshop play is "Dorothy in Wonderland." They were hard at work in rehearsal earlier this week. They will perform for the public at 6:00 p.m. Saturday July 18. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

Holy hades it has been hot. Where did all of that nice rain go? For now we will be bumping 100 degrees every day into next week. When you come to the Cheeseburger Festival Saturday you might want to bring your folding chairs and find a shady spot cause it is going to be hot. Be sure to stop by the Noon Lions booth for a boatload of world famous French fries too.

Mayor signs Prairie Acres letter of intent
The Friona city council met in regular session Monday July 13 with all members present, Mayor Rick White presiding.
The first agenda item was a public hearing on the city's water quality report. No member of the public was present.

High School thespians present 'Scapino'
High school summer drama workshop actors will present "Scapino" A long way off from Moliere. The setting is the present in a café in Naples. The director is Erika Montana. The crew is Matthew Ratliff, Lindy Wiseman, Katherine Thompson, and Lino Tarango.

Elementary cast and crew ready to perform
The elementary summer drama workshop play, "Dorothy in Wonderland" is under the direction of Allison Johnston with assistance of Hollee Ratliff, Sunny Bowden, Samantha Campbell, Brooklynne Johnston, Casey Bowden, and Mary Kate Ratliff.
