Sometimes you just have to take a break from the lake life and get a cup of coffee. This duck was found peering in the front door at Fast Stop Sunday morning. He (or she) seems to have found a new adventure since it has been around Fast Stop several mornings this week. They lured it back down to the lake area with some bread trails but it came right back. Maybe it is looking for a job. If you are a Fast Stop customer, watch out for the duck.
Town Talk II
It was in the 40s and raining Monday morning. I put on a long sleeve shirt and a jacket to head to work. The first person I saw was a young man in a short sleeve t-shirt. Guess I am just getting older and colder. Official weather guy John Gurley said we received 0.12" of rain overnight Sunday/Monday. Any amount is always good.

Council approves city, credit union land swap
At Monday's regular meeting the Friona city council approved a property swap with the Friona Texas Federal Credit Union. Council member Bruce Fleming, chairman of the credit union board, was recused from the official vote. Council member Nancy Davis, credit union president, was absent from the meeting.
