Chamber banquet announced
The Friona Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture announced this week that the 59th Annual Friona Chamber Banquet will be Thursday, March 26 at the Friona Community Center.
The banquet will feature a delicious dinner and guest speaker Brandon Slay.
Slay is from Amarillo originally and won an Olympic gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the Men’s freestyle wrestling event. He is currently the Assistant National Freestyle Coach and National Freestyle Resident Coach for USA wrestling, stationed at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
The Chamber is seeking nominations for Citizen, Man, Woman, Teacher, Boy & Girl Student and Most Courteous Employee of the Year. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 6. Nomination forms are available at the chamber office or online at www.frionachamber.com.
