Council agenda looks brief
The Friona city council will meet in regular session Monday June 9 at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at 619 Main St. All council meetings are open to the public.
The tentative agenda has six business items to consider, all of which should be approved quickly. As always one of the first agenda items is to hear comments from the public.
A resolution granting Atmos Energy the franchise and rights to conduct business within the city of Friona will be considered. The council will take action on approval of a Texas Municipal League intergovernmental employee benefits plan for city employees for 2014-2015.
The police department will give a report about budget, expenses, personnel, and upcoming activities and events. Approval of accounts payable and the financial statement for May are the final two business items on the agenda.
The above items make up a tentative agenda and are subject to change or other items may be added to the final agenda which is posted at city hall 72 hour prior to the meeting.
