Chamber accepting citizen nominations Banquet and live auction Tues. March 5
The Friona Chamber of Commerce banquet is Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the community center. Tickets are $25 and will be sold in advance only. No tickets at the door. A live auction will be held. Any business or individual who wishes to donate auction items should contact the Chamber. Deadline for auction item donations is March 15.
The Chamber will be accepting nominations for the annual citizen awards to be presented at the banquet. If you want to nominate a deserving citizen for one of the following awards you can submit their name by picking up an application from the Chamber of Commerce office at 621 Main St. The deadline for submitting nominations is 3 p.m. Friday, February 15.
Award categories are: Citizen of the Year; Man and Woman of the Year; Girl and Boy Students of the Year; Most Courteous Employee; and Teacher of the Year. For more information about the nomination process contact the Chamber at 250-3491. The earlier nominations are submitted the more time the Chamber board has to review them. More banquet details will be published as they become available.
