The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office will host the annual Trunk-or-Treat Halloween event on Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Friona Community Center. If you are interested in having a booth at the event please contact Ross Paiz at 806-481-3303.

All trick-or-treaters are invited to visit Prairie Acres and Heritage Estates from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31st.

Parmer County Retired Teachers and School Personnel will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4th at the Union Congregational Church at 1601 N. Euclid in Friona. Connie Johnson, health and wellness chair, will present a program on Tai Chi, a low impact form of exercise. Tracy Ellis, local president, will lead a brief review of the PCRTSP constitution. Refreshments will be served, and visitors are welcome.

St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Bovina, Texas will host their annual Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Ann’s Parish Hall on 3rd Street in Bovina. They will be serving turkey & dressing, creamed potatoes & gravy, green beans, homemade bread, cranberry sauce, relish plate, desserts, and tea & coffee. Donations will be $12 for adults and $6 for children under 6 years of age. Take-out plates will be available at no additional charge. A quilt made by St. Ann’s Society will be raffled off at the dinner.
