The Friona Donut Shop opened bright and early on Monday. The shop is located at the old Five Star Bistro location. They will be serving up yummy goodies 7 days a week from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pictured are Sopanha Eng and Sarin Kheav. They have something for every taste from donuts to kolaches and breakfast sandwiches.

Spring begins Sunday March 20 on Palm Sunday. Easter is Sunday March 27. Great spring weather is already here but supposed to be colder over the weekend. Did I see a forecast of possible "flurries?"

My daughter Candee Holmes came to visit over the weekend. She is my firstborn oldest child. Candee lives in Coppell with husband Walt. My kids don't get to visit often enough so it is always a special treat when they do.

City Council sets new RV park fees
The Friona city council met in regular session Monday March 14. All members were present except Bruce Fleming.
A public hearing was opened for comments on Creative Chaos' request for funding from the Friona Economic Development Corporation (FEDC). No members of the public spoke.
