First Baptist Church will host a Family Fall Fiesta on Wednesday, October 2nd from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The event will include kid’s performances, free food, free games. and lots of free candy!!!

St. Teresa’s Catholic Church will host a Hamburger Steak Dinner on Sunday, October 6th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The menu consists of hamburger steak topped with grilled onions, brown gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Tiicket prices are $12 for adults and $6 for children.

Beginning on October 2nd, the Friona Friends of the Library Book Shoppe will be open on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday morning hours will resume next June. The book shop is located at 119 West 6th Street, and books sell for one dollar per bag. No donations can be accepted until later in October.
