Dispatch Supervisor Desiree Rangel displays the new operations console that was installed last week at the Friona Police Department by Omega Electronics of Amarillo. The $40,000 unit was a much needed upgrade and will allow for improved communications with all first responders in the county. The new console also improves the functionality and dependability of the emergency siren system that is used to alert the community during severe weather.
