The 4th Annual AgYouth Banquet, hosted by AgTexas Farm Credit, was held Monday night in downtown Amarillo at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. The event highlights the thirty-six outstanding 4-H and FFA high school seniors from the Texas Panhandle who were honored during the AgYouth of the Month program which ran from November 2018 through April 2019. Friona students who were chosen included Angel Valencia, Gabbi Douglas, and Samuel Frye. Each AgYouth of the Month winner received a certificate and gift card. Also, nine $1,000 college scholarships were awarded via a random drawing. Over 100 people attended the event which included students, parents, and 4-H & FFA advisors.
