St. Teresa’s Catholic Church of Friona is hosting their 3rd annual Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Teresa’s Catholic Hall. They will be serving turkey & dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, bread, cranberry sauce, desserts, tea, and coffee. Donations will be $12 for adults and $6 for children under 10 years of age. Take-out plates will be available at no additional charge. They look forward to seeing you there!

Veterans Day events include a Veterans Day Breakfast from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at the Redeemer Literacy Center at 13th & Virginia hosted by Friona Friends of the Library. The Veterans Day Program at Friona High School will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Friona High School Gym and is hosted by FHS. A Veterans Day Ceremony in Bovina will start at 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the Bovina School Auditorium at 500 Halsell St. in Bovina.

The Annual Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on Sunday, November 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Friona located at 404 W. 5th. This special community service is hosted by Friona Christian Ministries, and is an uplifting time of worshipping the Lord Jesus as a community of believers. A special offering will be taken which will be used throughout the year to help people in our community with basic needs. Everyone is invited to attend this Christian worship service and there will also be a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
