Town Talk

Rev. Bobby and Alison Broughton are moving to San Angelo. He has accepted a position with Emmanuel Baptist Church and part of his new ministry will be working with Senior Adults. He has served at Calvary Baptist Church in Friona for the past seven years. Please read his “Thankful for Friona” column in this paper. Best wishes to Bobby and Alison in their new adventure. Senior Health Fair August 16th

The Friona Health Care Coalition will be offering their annual senior health fair on August 16th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Friona Senior Citizen’s building located at 1410 Washington Avenue (across the street south from Prairie Acres). Assorted health care screenings, door prizes, games and lots of giveaways will be offered during the event. (more...)

Kidz Health & Safety Fair August 18

The Kidz Health and Safety Fair will be held on August 18, 2018 in Friona this year. It will be at the Friona Community Center from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. We will be giving out school supplies, raffling tablets, and bicycles. EMS will be giving out bicycle helmets. Bring your bicycles, the Friona Police Department will be having a bike rodeo! Parmer Paw’s will have some pets available. (more...)

Junior High Open House on Monday

There will be an Open House at the Friona Junior High School on Monday, August 13th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. All students and parents are urged to attend to meet the teachers and administrators. Also, student schedules will be handed out during the Open House.
