Plane crash in Parmer
County kills two
Jake Hefner, 24 of Bovina and Clayton Sides, 25 of Dimmitt, were killed Sunday when the Experimental Challenger II push-propeller plane they were piloting crashed in a field 8 miles west of Friona. The two men started the flight from a private airstrip near Mr. Hefner’s home around 8 p.m. and were last seen around 8:45 p.m. about a mile or two north of the runway. When they failed to return to the landing area, relatives became worried and started a search.

Businesswoman and Superwoman, Holly Campbell, took a tumble this past weekend while stepping off a ladder. She suffered a break to one of her arms and a sprain on her other wrist. Knowing Holly most of my life, I know she will have the spirit and drive to power through. Hoping for a speedy recovery, Holly!

Parmer Medical Center (PMC) provides emergency services to thousands of patients in the community each year. Open 24/7, the ER is equipped to handle any patient that comes through the door. However, access to a second set of eyes and ears can be beneficial in critical cases. The new eCARE Emergency service will provide that extra support to PMC’s clinicians when needed.
