The ‘Cans for Seniors’ trailer is parked back on Main Street behind the fire station. The seniors are still collecting cans to earn money for the Senior All-Night Party. Please collect your empty cans and bring them to the trailer!

The Panhandle Disaster Relief fund is in need of your donation. As the drought continues to worsen, wildfires become more prevalent and the burden is left on those in its path. Please donate, if you can, to help organizations in our area find the help and assistance they are needing. Donations can be made on www.amarilloareafoundation.org (see story on Page 1).

The Senior Banquet at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church will be on April 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Catholic Hall. You are invited to celebrate the Seniors of 2018! Please dress casual and come enjoy the good food and good times!

The Pope Boys BBQ truck will be open again this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the parking lot across from Vet Industries. They are said to be serving normal menu and combo plates until sold out, so head out for some tasty local barbeque this weekend!

Senior Steak Dinner is set for April 15, so there are just a few more weeks to purchase your tickets in advance for $15 per plate ($16 at the door). Proceeds for this event go to benefit the Senior Drug Free All-Night party, so be sure to grab your tickets! Contact the Friona High School or any 2018 Senior for ticket information.

Shout-out to all Texas Tech fans and alumni for making it into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005, which was 13 years ago. They faced off the Florida Gators, ending in a win, and will move on to Boston where they will play Purdue.
