Lee and his wife Thelma had lived in Heritage Estates and Prairie Acres here in Friona over the past several years. Thank a School Board Member
January is School Board Recognition Month and Friona ISD is joining other districts across the state to thank these community volunteers for their commitment and contributions to our public schools.
“School board members serve countless hours working to make public education the best it can be for every child,” said Dr. Pamela Nelson-Ray. In a climate of change and challenge, they develop policies and make tough decisions on complex educational and social issues that affect the entire community and the lives of individual students. They bear responsibility and oversight in Friona ISD for an annual budget of $11.2 million; 1106 students, in grades Pre-K to 12; more than 250 employees; and 4 campuses.

Friona Blood Drive Jan. 25
The Friona Community Blood Drive conducted by Coffee Memorial Blood Center will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 12-7 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 1500 Cleveland. The Friona Noon Lions will be serving up hot hamburgers to all donors.
