Pre K Registration April 17-21
Friona Primary Principal Ashley Smith announced recently they will hold the 2017-2018 Pre-K and new student registration April 17-21 at the Primary School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day except on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Students who will be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2017 or will be new to Friona Primary for the upcoming school year are welcome to register at this time.
Parents are reminded to bring their child’s shot record, birth certificate, social security card, parent/guardian identification, W-2/proof of income, Medicaid card and proof of residency.
The proof of residency must be from the approved list which includes: Xcel Energy statement; Atmos Energy statement; Deaf Smith Energy statement; West Texas Gas statement; City Water statement; Rent/lease receipt on company letterhead; or Direct TV, Cable, etc.
Proof of Residency must be in the parent’s or legal guardian’s name, must display the physical address, and must be dated the current month or one month prior.
Non-acceptable proof of residency are the following: telephone statement, title to land, property tax statement, driver’s license, Medicaid, disconnect notices, unprinted/handwritten/general purpose rent/lease receipts, Texas Department of Human Services records, telephone book addresses, library cards, car insurance, P.O. Boxes or routes, or mortgage statement.
Presenting a false record or falsifying records is an offense under Section 37.10. of the Penal Code and enrollment of a child under false documents subjects the person to liability for tuition or other costs. (TEC Sec. 25.002 (3)(d).)
