Commissioners: No burn ban at this time
The Parmer County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the County Courtroom in the Parmer County Courthouse in Farwell.
The burn ban was lifted at this time but will be reevaluated at a later date or as needed.
The Commissioners approved the payment of accounts payable presented by Larry Johnston. They also approved the housekeeping issues of the 2016 budget transfers and amendments.
Altha Herington presented the Treasurer’s Report for the commissioners approval.
They discussed the purchase of property in Bovina but no action was taken due to upcoming inspections. A decision will be made in the not too distant future.
Sheriff Randy Geries presented a report concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center. Geries stated the Sheriff’s Office is investigating a number of matters at this time.
Parmer County Commissioners Court is open to the public. The next meeting will be Monday, February 27, 2017.
