The FHS Varsity Squaws were crowned Bi-District Champs after defeating the Childress Lady Bobcats Tueday evening at Randall High School. Town Talk
It is crunch time at the Thursday, November 9 Friona Community Blood Drive. They are looking to bring in a record-breaking 80 donations. The blood drive begins at noon and goes until 7 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 1500 Cleveland. Donors will receive a Blaze Coffee Accident Awareness Month t-shirt and a Friona Blood Drive long sleeve shirt. The Friona Noon Lions will be dishing up Mexican Pile-on and cobbler to all that present to donate.

FHS Veteran's Day Program
Friona High School will host their annual Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. in the gym. All area veterans and their families are invited to attend this program.

Cancer Survivor's Dinner Nov. 16
The Parmer County Cancer Coalition’s annual Cancer Survivor’s Dinner will be Thursday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Frist Baptist Church in Friona. Invitations will be sent out soon.
Christmas Friona-Style is coming December 4
Christmas in the Park and the Lighted Christmas Parade are in the works for Monday, December 4. Santa is set to arrive at 4:30 p.m.at the Depot in the Friona City Park. Santa will be accompanied by Miss Friona Brooklynne Johnston and Little Miss Friona Abigail Guerra. Santa will be available for children to deliver their lists until 6:30 p.m.
