NewsChannel 10 coming to Bovina July 20
The Bovina Chamber of Commerce will meet on Thursday July 9, 2015 to fine tune plans for the Celebration in the Park event as well as the Bull Town Days celebration. The Newschannel 10 Celebration in the Park is set for Monday, July 20 during the Bulltown Days event is set for Saturday, August 1.
The support crew from Channel 10 will be here about noon on the July 20 to set up the equipment and the Newschannel 10 broadcast team will arrive about 3 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet and greet the stars, Walt Howard, Ally Allison, “Doppler” Dave Oliver, Matt Hamilton and Adam Pages.
Cargill Meat Solutions will be serving hamburgers and various games have been planned in the evening after the 6 o’clock segment of the news.
A salsa making contest is planned with the news team as judges. A water polo competition between the Bovina Fire Department and the news team. The dancing pony will be there as well as the young Mexican traditional dancers.
The folks from Bovina will be highlighted behind the team at all live newscasts so you can get your mug on live television. The Bovina football team with Coach Guevara will be interviewed at 10. Free T-shirts will be given out after the 6 p.m. newscast.
A Dollar Bucket will be circulated and a drawing for all the dollars in the bucket will make a local resident very rich or a few dollars richer.
All residents of the community and surrounding towns are encouraged to come early and stay late and be on your best although energetic behavior. It promises to be a great celebration and a golden opportunity to put Bovina’s best foot forward. Come out and help us.

The Bulltown Days event is close on the heels of the Celebration in the Park On Saturday, August 1 a great slate of activities is planned including a parade down Third Street culminating at the park where a car show. Booths are planned in the park with music and competition activities
The Bovina Chamber of Commerce has a lot of summer activities planned for Bovina and hope everyone will turn out and enjoy the celebrations.
