Hi-Pro 'Feeds the Future' benefit

Hi-Pro Feeds is sponsoring an event to raise money to help feed our local children. The proceeds will fund the SnackPak4Kids in Parmer County. A dinner and auction (Live & Silent) will be held Saturday, April 18 at 6 p.m. at Country Rose located at 507 FM 1057, Summerfield, TX.

Right now, local children are living in households that struggle to meet their food needs. Food is fuel—healthy kids equal healthy community.

Hi-Pro Feeds in Friona is drawing attention to this issue, which is important to many in the food production business because they know that when our children thrive, our community thrives.

The public is invited to this event. Hi-Pro Feeds encourages everyone in the community to attend the event and get involved in the program. Get your tickets early; there is a limited amount of tickets that will be sold.

A list of auction items will be announced at a later date. The gourmet meal will be prepared by Canna Ray.

Did you know?

*1 in 5 children in the U.S. routinely go hungry.

*Inadequate nutrition affects the development and behavior. The effects can last a lifetime.

*62 percent of U.S. teachers say they regularly see students come to school hungry.

*Rural areas struggle with food insecurity just as much as cities do. More than 3 million rural households are food insecure.

*Over 870 kids in Friona are food insecure.

The Drive to Feed Kids is a collaboration between Nutra Blend and partners in the feed industry to increase awareness about child hunger and to raise money to feed children in the United States.

Make plans now to attend this event and remember the proceeds will fund the needs for the Friona SnackPak4Kids and hopefully start this program in other Parmer County towns and communities.
