Christmas in the Park Dec. 1
The Friona Chamber of Commerce needs your help. If you are a talented tree decorator and would like to display your talents at Christmas in the Park on December 1 contact Chris Alexander or Betty Lamb at the Chamber Office as soon as possible. Trees need be decorated November 29-30.
The tree decorating will be in cooperation with Snack Pack 4 Kids program. The winner of the tree contest will be determined by how many jars of peanut butter and Pop Tarts are received during the event. Each jar or box will be counted as a vote. Everyone is invited out to view the trees, vote on their favorites and help Snack Pack 4 Kids.
Bring the kids to talk to Santa during Christmas in the Park. Santa will arrive around 5:30 p.m. and be in the depot until 7 p.m.
If you are a vendor and would like to have a booth at the Christmas in the Park contact Chris as soon as possible. Booths are $30.
The Chamber will be hosting a residential lighting contest. Notify the Chamber if you would like to have your lighting display judged. The judging will take place the evening of Friday, December 19. For more information, contact the Chamber at 806-250-3491.
