Chiefs lose to Bushland 69-35
It was a game that saw over 100 points scored and over 1,000 yards of total offense as the Chieftains kept the game close the first half. The score at the break was Bushland 27-Friona 21. But the Falcons scored 42 second half points to pull away from a weary Chieftain bunch that played with determination.
Friona rushed for 284 yards to Bushland’s 222, but the Falcons tallied 401 passing yards to 156 for Friona. The final tally was 623 yards for Bushland and 440 for Friona.
Chieftain Eddie Garcia was once again the workhorse for the Chieftains. He had 31 carries for 189 yards and two exciting touchdowns, one for 48 yards. Michael Garcia carried two times for 12 yards and scored the other touchdown for the Chieftains. Quarterback Mason Loflin carried 8 times for 54 yards and Brad Stowers ran 3 times for 29 yards.

Stowers also returned six kickoffs for 93 total yards. Kicker Juan Martinez was a perfect 5 for 5 on extra points.
On defense, Justin Rocha and Antonio Adame were credited with 7 solo tackles each while Abel Palacios had 6 solo tackles.
