National Night Out October 4
The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office invites everyone, county-wide, to the “National Night Out 2016” on Tuesday, October 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office located at 300 4th Street in Farwell. Everyone from Friona, Bovina, Farwell, Lazbuddie and Rhea are invited to come out and enjoy hamburgers, drinks, games, music, prize giveaways and much more.
The National Night Out (NNO) was designed as a way to bring the community with Law Enforcement and First Responder agencies. The event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and better places to live.
Sheriff Randy Geries and the Parmer County Sheriff’s Office could not do this event without the help of the communities of Parmer County.
Cargill will be serving up yummy hamburgers while the Friona Noon Lions Club will be dishing up their World Famous fries. In addition to the good food, attendees will be treated to an obstacle course hosted by the area schools football players.
To date the event has received donations from Headquarters House Restaurant, Friona Star, Affordable Bail Bonds, Leal’s of Clovis, Stateline Tribune, Torres Bail Bonds, Lowe’s #3 of Friona, American Red Cross, Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, National Weather Service, Parmer Medical Center, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Cargill, Friona Noon Lions Club, area schools, Cal-Maine and AeroCare.
