This Town Talk space is kind of thin this week. Long weekend holiday, people out of town, and not a great deal happening around town. We lost two fine citizens in the past few days, Roy O’Brian and Betty Talley. Our sympathies to the families.

The rockets red glare was accented with green, yellow, blue and purple Monday night at the Friona fireworks display at the Community Center. The fireworks were furnished by the Friona Chamber of Commerce and set off by the Friona Volunteer Fire Department.

All decked out for the 4th of July, Jayden Choate showed his patriotism from the top of his head to his sneakers. Jayden and his family were selling water at the annual 4th of July celebration at the Friona Community Center on Monday evening.
