These two little boys spied on Santa while waiting in line to visit with the jolly, old elf. Santa arrived at the Friona City Park at 5 p.m. and stayed busy hearing the wishes of the children of Friona until 7 p.m. While waiting for a visit with Santa visitors to Christmas in the Park got to enjoy the first Lighted Christmas Parade.

By the time our paper goes to press this week it is supposed to be deep-freeze around here. A couple of days of below freezing highs. Guess that goes along with our Christmas season. It was a nice night for Christmas in the Park Monday.

Great week to travel I guess. JP Jo Beth Gipson is at a justice of the peace conference in Galveston, several Friona and area residents are attending the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, and my son Casey and his wife Jen are spending the week escorting a tour group to Iceland. He is a chip off the old block if he can sell 40 people on the idea of touring Iceland in December.
