Early Voting — Parmer County Clerk Susie Spring said that 696 people voted during the first week of early voting with 36 voting on Saturday and 40 on Sunday.

March On — Congratulations to the Mighty Chieftain Marching Band for making their 2nd straight appearance at the Area Contest. Even though they did not advance, you can see them Friday night at the football game!!!

Taste of Competition — FHS student Carlos Rios presented his Spanish Creed Speaking program at the National FFA Contest in Indianapolis, Indiana last week. Even though he did not place, he made many new friends from all over Texas and the country!

A Reminder — St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Bovina is having their 64th Annual Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November 3rd. Serving time is 11:30 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. (Texas time) in the St. Ann’s Parish Hall on 3rd Street in Bovina. Donations will be $15.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 6. Take-out plates will be available at no additional charge.
