Armando Legarreta Orozco

Armando Legarreta Orozco, 49 of Friona passed away January 13, 2025 in Friona. Viewing will be held from 9:00AM to 8:00PM with Rosary Services at 6:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2025 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial Services set for 12:00 PM Friday January 17, 2025 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church of Friona with Father Michael Colwell, as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Armando was born February 7, 1975 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Emiliano Legarreta and Eustolia Orozco de Legarreta. He was a Special Education Instructor’s Assistant for the Friona Independent School District. He loved hiking and watching movies.

Those that will mourn his passing include- his wife Laura Morales Cubillas of Friona, his parents- Emiliano and Eustolia of Friona, 3 daughters-Arlen Natalie Legarreta and Jocelyn Legarreta, both of Omaha, Nebraska, and Abigal Marie Legarreta of El Paso, 2 brothers-Jose Luis Legarreta and Alfredo Legarreta, both of Friona, 2 sisters-Yolanda Legarreta of Friona, and Magdaelena Gallardo of Midland and 1 grandson-Keanu Sky Guerro.

Don Barton Clements

Don Barton Clements passed away December 20, 2024, in Hereford, Texas, at the age of 82. He was born August 25, 1942, to Roy and Martha Clements in Hereford. He grew up in Friona and upon graduation went to Texas A&M where he received his degree. He made many lifelong friends during his time in College Station. Upon graduating, he taught mathematics for a few years at Hereford Junior High and Hereford High School. He then became involved in the animal health industry where he worked in management and sales for 44 years; he retired from Pfizer in 2011. He married Adelle Smith on June 15, 1963. They were married for 61 years and raised their family in Hereford.

Don is preceded in death by an infant son Phillip Barton, in 1966, his father Roy in 2001, and his mother Martha in 2006.

He is survived by his wife Adelle and one brother Jim Roy and his wife Mary Jane of Alba. He is also survived by 3 children: Brett and wife Julie Clements, Chad Clements and Robin and her husband Casey Reed; and seven grandchildren: Kyndall and Griffen Clements, Alex and Cade Clements, and Lauren, Luke, and Landry Reed.

He loved his family dearly and treasured sharing their lives and cooking for them when family was all together. He enjoyed barbecuing, restoring furniture, and fishing. He was also a dedicated gardener and antique collector. He really enjoyed sharing vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was a servant and a good friend to many.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Hereford on Friday, December 27th at 10:00 AM with Pastor Kyle Streun and Cody Hodges officiating. Family burial followed at Friona Cemetery. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.
