Not Your Grandad's Mower!

Members of the Friona Volunteer Fire Department are selling tickets to win a Kubota Zero Turn Mower. The mower was donated by LoneStar Ag which is located in Friona and Dalhart. All the members of the Friona Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone who has supported the fundraisers in the past. They truly appreciate how the community has been willing to support them in everything that they do.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Friona Volunteer Fire Department. Specifically, funds will be used in the purchase of two Brush Trucks. The first truck was ordered at a cost of $265,000 and the second truck will cost $285,000. A grant of $240,000 was used to defray the costs of Truck 1 and proceeds from previous and future fundraisers will be used to pay off the balance. It will be around a year before the fire department receives the first truck ordered and possibly 2 or more years before the second truck is received.

Tickets are $10 each and are available from any member of the fire department. The drawing will take place on Saturday, September 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the city park. You must be 18 or older to enter and you do not have to be present to win.
