Auction News - talked to Neil Bentley, of Bentley's Auctions, about the Joyce Wells Living Estate Auction that wrapped up on Monday. He said there were 248 bidders, 103 buyers, and that the property is under contract. Neil said the auction was a great success and thanked everyone who participated.

The national average price of gasoline rose 2.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.49 per gallon. The national average price of diesel rose 2.3 cents in the last week and stands at $3.83 per gallon.

Capital Mascot - NewsChannel 10 visited Friona on Tuesday as part of their Summer Celebration 2024 Tour. The event wrapped up with a live news broadcast at 6:30 p.m. in the city park. At the end of the broadcast, NewsChannel 10 personalities Dave Oliver and Lindsey Stiner, revealed the winning name for the Cheeseburger Mascot. "Chee Zee" is now the official mascot for Friona, the Cheeseburger Capital of Texas.
