Breanna Denise Mannrique

Breanna Denise Mannrique, 23 of Bovina passed away June 1, 2024 in Amarillo. Viewing was held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Templo Bautista Damasco Church in Friona. Celebration of Life Services were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 also at Templo Bautista Damasco Church in Friona. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Breanna was born November 17, 2000 in Amarillo and graduated from Bovina High School in 2019. She was a very strong person with a big heart. She always had a smile on her face, a quick wit, and a dark sense of humor. She loved animals and spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews whom she treated like her children.

She is preceded in death by grandfather Ramon Villarreal Sr.

Those to mourn her passing include her parents- Nick and Erica Villarreal Olivarez of Bovina, 2 brothers-Justin Bailey of Farwell, and Angel Villarreal of Bovina, 1 sister-Rebecca Rocha and husband Valentin of Friona, grandmother-Rosario Villarreal of Friona, uncle-Ramon Villarreal and wife Lupe of Hereford, 2 nieces-Audree Rocha, and Avayah Rocha, 2 nephews-Ayden Rocha and Abrian Rocha.

Charles Wayne Broadhurst

Charles Wayne Broadhurst, 90, of Amarillo was ushered into Heaven on May 23, 2024.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at St. Stephens Church. Interment followed at 2:00 PM, in Gruver Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Charles was born on June 2, 1933, in Lockney, TX to Walt and Donna Nell Broadhurst. He grew up an All-American boy, enjoying the outdoors, ranching, and shooting BB guns. He played football and basketball at Gruver High School and was a member of the 1950 state championship basketball team. At a young age, he fell in love with Jesus, surrendered his life to full time ministry, and faithfully served various beloved congregations as a pastor for 45 years...First Baptist, Lockney, TX, Central Baptist, Aurora, CO, First Baptist, Hale Center, TX, Calvary Baptist, Borger, TX, First Baptist, Friona, TX, Southcrest Baptist, Lubbock, TX, First Baptist, Littlefield, TX, and retiring from ministry in 1995.

He married his high school sweetheart, Carolynn Cator on August 25, 1953, in Gruver at her family ranch. He faithfully loved and endlessly served her until her death, just two days shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.

He was a graduate of Hardin Simmons University and attended Southwestern Theological Seminary.

God, his family, history, and sports were his greatest passions in life. During his retirement years, he spent countless hours pouring into the lives of others through Bible study and mentoring men. He also had a deep appreciation for Texas Panhandle history, specifically Hansford County and the Cator Ranch, where he courted his bride, Carolynn. Through his dedication and pride of the pioneer spirit, he wrote a book to honor the Cator legacy.

He loved supporting his children and grandchildren through all of their activities, passions, and endeavors. He had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and carrying on long-running jokes with those that he loved, especially his grandchildren. He was very intentional about making sure that his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids knew that they were loved and treasured through visits, sweet cards, and regular phone calls. He had the privilege of baptizing his three children and six grandchildren, and actively nurtured their individual walks with Jesus until his last day on Earth.

Charles is preceded in death by wife Carolynn Cator Broadhurst; parents, Walt and Donna Nell Broadhurst; and grandson, Andrew Coursey.

He is survived by son, Leslie Broadhurst and wife Heather; daughter, LaDonna Coursey; son Lance Broadhurst and wife Shanda; grandchildren, Brooke Burciaga and husband Ismael, Steven Coursey and wife Lindsay, Blair Broadhurst and wife Erin, Jordan Broadhurst and wife Becca, Jonathan Coursey and wife Danielle, Hayden Broadhurst and wife Emilee, Jonah Sternenberg and wife Celeste, and Jacob Sternenberg; great-grandchildren, Whitaker Ellis, Merritt Ellis, Jaylie Coursey, Addie Coursey, Kennedy Broadhurst, Palmer Broadhurst, and Elizabeth Sternenber; sister Geraldine Redwine and husband Clyde; brother, Jim Broadhurst and wife Twanna; sister-in-laws, LuAnn Smith and husband Jim, and Maelynn Webb; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles walked into Heaven, greeted not only by his loving wife, but also by so many that he led to the Lord through his constant testimony and faith.

Rex E. Robinson

Rex E. Robinson, born January 7, 1957, in Liberal, Kansas, passed away at his house in Hereford, Texas, June 3, 2024.

Rex was raised in Winfield, Kansas and graduated from Winfield High School in 1975. He attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas for mechanical engineering. He then moved to California in 1979 and worked various mechanical engineering jobs. He loved four-wheelers and every holiday or free time, he would go to Glamis where he would vacation in California. Nascar and anything with wheels was a deep love that was his everyday pastime. In 2022, Rex sold his house in Corona, CA and decided on a newly built house in Hereford, TX. He took pride in his home decorating and gardening. Rex has his beloved dog, Harley, next to his side at all times.

He is preceded in death by his brother Ronald Robinson and sister Marcia Corrales.

Rex is survived by his sisters Ruanne Chijimatsu and husband Mike of Clovis, NM; Sherri Alger and husband Tom of Friona, TX; aunt and uncle Toniette and Martin Blackburn of Brea, CA. Nephew Moki Wun and wife Robin of California; nephew Raymi Wun and wife Alisha of California; niece Ronda Martinez and husband Jose of California; niece Kati Villalpando and husband Tony of California; nephew Derek Biddle and wife Rebecca of Texas, and lots of great-nephews and great-nieces.

He is also survived by nephews Tommy Alger and wife Kayla; Derek Alger and wife Hannah; and niece Dena Danzeisen and husband Eric.

Rex will have graveside service at 11:00 am in Stafford, Kansas on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. He will be buried next to his parents, Ernest (Bud) and Bonnie Robinson, his sister Ronda Robinson, and grandparents, Cecil and Leona Bartlett.
