FRIONA WEATHER

Ever since the water tower was emptied to make necessary repairs, city workers have been busy repairing busted water lines all over town. Without the reliable gravity flow that the water tower provides, it has been difficult to maintain equal water pressure throughout the city. Repairs to the tower should be completed by the end of the month. City Manager Lee Davila asks residents to only water their yards in the evening or at night until the water tower is back online.

A new feature section at the Friona Public Library was unveiled at the annual Friends of the Library meeting. Thanks to generous memorials from friends, family, and the community, an Audio Book Section was opened in memory of Lunell Horton. She was an avid reader and especially liked the audio book format. Members of her family were on hand for the dedication.
