José Alberto "Beto" Gomez Barrientos, 45 of Mexico passed away December 31, 2021. Rosary and viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Mass of Christian Burial Service scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Beto was a very extraordinary person, the most handsome of the three boys. He was full of life! He was a loving father, son, etc .. humble, full of joy and at the same time fearless, prideful, and also full of courage and strength. He was a people person. Most importantly he had the biggest heart for his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Aidee Lynn Gomez, Jasmine Gomez, and Alyssa Gomez. As well as his mother, Eduarda Gomez and father, Roman Gomez, brother Lupe Gomez, Juan Gomez, and sisters Julia Chavez, Gloria Adame, Carol Gomez, and Marlena Gomez.

Minnie Fleming

Minnie Fleming, 86 of Clovis passed away January 11, 2022 in Clovis.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM CST Friday, January 14, 2022 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Celebration of Life Services scheduled for Saturday, January 15th at 10:00 AM MST at the 16th and Pile St. Church of Christ in Clovis with Michael Harmon officiating. Burial following in Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Minnie was born August 5, 1935 in Gotebo, Oklahoma to George Leonard and Nancy Susie Bailey Medley. She later married Johnny Fleming November 3, 1956 in Clovis.

Minnie was employed by the ASCS office in Farwell for many years, loved her family and spending time fishing and playing dominoes. She was a longtime member of the 16th and Pile St. Church of Christ in Clovis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny, 1 daughter-Renee Fleming Troglia, 2 sisters-Jeanne Hendrickson, and Dinnie Nutt, 2 brothers-Jack and Bill Medley.

Those to mourn her passing include 2 daughters-Pam Melton and husband Kelly of Muleshoe, and Sandra Warren and husband Alan of Farwell, 1 son-Greg Fleming and wife Lorraine of Wolfforth, 1 sister-Sue Christian of Kyle, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Robert Smith

Robert Smith was born April 6, 1966 in Indio, California to Joe Smith and Helen Huddleston. He married Cheryl Smith in Texico, New Mexico on August 21, 1986. Robert worked at Bovina Cattle Company-Friona Industries as a Cattle Manager.

Robert loved having Cheryl right by his side and his family was the highlight of his life, which made him a very devoted husband and father to Roper and Rowdy. He did not know the meaning of the word STRANGER and was always the life of the party. He could always make the dullest of times into something where you were having a good time without even knowing it. Robert loved entertaining guests, taking his boat to the lake, riding his Harley, cooking on the grill, and playing games with friends and family. He was an avid movie watcher and enjoyed working horses. Robert was an example of God's love. He was a spiritual man that was close to God. He loved being involved in several church activities, such as the weekly men's group and couples retreat to enrich his relationship with his wife and God. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, JT Stanton; and a granddaughter, Blayke Smith.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Cheryl; his two sons, Roper Smith and his wife, Brittni of Laredo, Texas; Rowdy Smith and his wife, Megan of Portales, New Mexico; his four grandchildren, Andi, Cali, Blaise, Dagan and soon to arrive fifth grandchild, Laykin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to National Police Foundation (policefoundation.org) or Gear Up for Game Warden (gearupforgamewardens.org).
