Jessie Jesus Soliz, 87 of Canyon passed away April 22, 2025 in Canyon. Viewing was held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2025 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Celebration of Life Services 11:00 AM Monday April 28, 2025 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel with Randy Criswell, officiating. Burial in the Friona Cemetery entrusted to HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Jessie was born December 12, 1937, in Alamo,Texas to Pete and Julia Garza. He later moved to Amarillo and spent most of his days building his company, Soliz Trucking with his sons. His life was his trucking company and he loved the sound of starting up his trucks and changing tires, and was his happiest on the job. He was a joyful man that loved his family and visiting with friends, especially enjoying many great meals with them. Jessie enjoyed a good meal almost as much as trucking.
He is preceded in death by his parents- Pete and Julia Garza, and 1 sister-Jesusa Garibay.
Those to mourn his passing include 3 sons- Jessie Soliz and wife Arlene of Canyon, Jimmy Soliz and wife Gloria and Jerry Soliz and wife Veronica all of Amarillo, 3 daughters-Janette Soliz and husband Gerardo Delira of Canyon, Julie Molland and husband John of Odessa, and Janie Criswell and husband Randy of Wolfforth, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
