City of Friona To Issue Vehicle Registration Tags

The City of Friona is pleased to announce that it will be taking over the process of issuing vehicle registration tags, a responsibility previously managed by the Friona Chamber of Commerce. This change is designed to better serve our residents by offering extended hours of operation. Vehicle registration tags will now be available at Friona City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. With the renewal notice you must bring proof of insurance and inspection valid through December 31st. Only cash and checks will be accepted, and checks will need to be from a local bank.

“This adjustment was made with our community’s convenience in mind, ensuring greater flexibility and accessibility for residents. We are committed to providing services that align with the needs of Friona’s residents, and this new arrangement reflects our dedication to that mission,” said Friona City Manager Lee Davila. “By moving vehicle registration services to City Hall, this gives families and individuals more options to take care of important tasks without having to drive to Farwell. It’s all about listening to what the community needs and delivering solutions that work.”
